Overview

The Thousand Islands Open (TIO) is the premier 3-day bass fishing event in Canada!!  This annual event is headquartered at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour in Kingston, ON July 25-27, 2024.  The 75 team field will battle it out on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario.  The 3-day tournament attracts the largest field of international anglers, competing for a total guaranteed cash payout of $75,000 and a grand prize giveaway of a Bass Cat bass boat powered by Mercury Marine valued at over $75,000.

Lake Details

Lake Ontario is 18,960 km2 (10,000 km2 in Canada), with a drainage area of 60,030 km2, an elevation of 75 m, a mean depth of 86 m (max 244 m), length 311 km and width 85 km. It is the smallest in surface area and most easterly of the Great Lakes and eighth-largest body of fresh water in North America. The lake receives most of its water supply from the other Great Lakes through the Niagara River and discharges into the St Lawrence River through the Kingston Basin at its northeast end.

Tournament headquarters will be open at 05:15 for day of the each event.

There will not be a pre-tournament meeting.

Shore Staff on site and available for boat checks 05:15 all three days.

Flights leave at 07:00, 07:20 and 07:40 Thu and Fri.

Check in 16:00, 16:20 and 16:40 Thu and Fri.

All boats leave 07:00 and check in 16:00 on Sat.

Largemouth AND Smallmouth bass.

No minimum size, 4 fish limit (per day)
